Several members of the Woolwich Seniors Association posted good showings at the Waterloo-Wellington Senior Games earlier this month.
The Woolwich club swept the cribbage event, with Pat Allgeier and Millie Burrows winning gold. Ruth Martin and Jean Trapp claimed silver, while Ralph Brubacher and George Read earned bronze.
The duo of Allgeier and Burrows also won silver in the euchre competition.
In snooker, Don Utter won bronze, while bridge players Al Graff and Jim Goll took home bronze as well.
The event was held in Kitchener. Medal winners now move on to the provincial competition, the 2010 Ontario Senior Games Actifest in Oshawa, Aug. 10-12. The two-day event features participants age 55 and older from across the province that will compete in 19 sports.
