Adamson, George

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 26, 2010 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. George Adamson age 81 years of Elmira.
Beloved husband of Jean (Ritter) Adamson for 56 years.
Dear father of Audrey Adamson of Kitchener, Carol and John Bohner of Bradford, William and Merla Adamson of Kitchener.
George is lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
George is the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents William H. and Emma (Lorch) Adamson and his sister Ellen.
The family received their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Sunday, February 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held at the St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, on Monday, March 1, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Hans Borch officiating followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira.
In George’s memory, donations to Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region or St. James Lutheran Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Martin, Samuel M.

Suddenly, as a result of an accident on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in his 35th year.
Sam Martin of the Crosshill area is the beloved son of Ammon and Elvina Martin.
Brother of Elizabeth at home, Onias of RR3, Dundalk, Selina (Mrs. Emerson Bauman) of RR1, Linwood, Selema (Mrs. Eli Bowman) of RR1, Linwood, Lena (Mrs. Norman Bowman) of RR1, Linwood, Eli of Dundalk, Enoch at home, and Anna at home.
Grandson of Eli S. Martin of Hawkesville and also Hannah Martin of RR3, Wallenstein.
Uncle of 19 nieces and nephews.
Family received relatives and friends on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28 at the family home. Service was held at the Wellesley Crosshill Mennonite Church with interment in the adjoining cemetery on Monday, March 1, 2010. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.

McCook, Douglas

Suddenly, on Wednesday, February 17, in Elmira, Ontario. Douglas McCook, beloved son of the late Monica McCook and James (Buff) McCook.
Grandson of the late James and Edith McCook, and of the late George and Marion Sullivan.
Dear brother and brother-in-law of Stuart and Alicia, and Susan and Robert. Uncle of Cameron, Rebecca, Gabrielle, and Lucia. Nephew of Jean, Kathleen, Ray, Jim, Sue, Sheila, Brian, Katherine, Bob, and Marny.
He is also missed by his many cousins. Beloved friend of the staff and residents at the Rideau Regional Centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario, and of Elmira District Community Living in Elmira, Ontario.
Memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, Ontario.
