Frey, John Albert

Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Leisureworld Care Centre, Elmira. John Frey in his 68th year formerly of Floradale.
Beloved son of Hilda (Arnold) Frey of Elmira and the late Albert “Abbie” Frey (1999).
Dear brother of Ken and Ellen Frey of Stratford, Richard and Tracey Frey of Elmira, Pat Fisher of Kitchener, and the late Wayne Fisher (1997).
John is also fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. At John’s request cremation has taken place.
A family graveside service was held in Calvary United Cemetery, St. Jacobs. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Leisureworld for their loving care given to John.

Martin, Beatrice (nee) Dettweiler

In her 80th year, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Chateau Gardens, Elmira.
Devoted wife of Ervin L. Martin for 55 years.
Loving mother of Lois Pryse (Michael), Phyllis Martin-Neufeld (Keith), Linda Martin, Elizabeth MacPherson (Gordon) and Christy Hoffman (Craig).
Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jessica (Rob), Kathleen (Scott), Heather, Emily, Nicole, Janelle, Alex, Adam, Blake and Natasha.
Beatrice will also be missed by her sister, Erma Martin, and sisters-in-law, Velina and Adeline Martin, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Lucinda and Norman Dettweiler, and brother, Howard.
The family received their friends and relatives at the Floradale Mennonite Church, 22 Florapine Rd., on Thursday, January 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Beatrice’s life and faith was held at Floradale Mennonite Church on Friday, January 22, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fred Redekop officiating. The casket remained open at the church until 1:45 p.m. Interment in Floradale Mennonite Cemetery.
In Beatrice’s memory, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or Mennonite Disaster Service and may be arranged through Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, 519-669-2207.


Noll, Ronald Keith

Passed away at his residence in Elmira on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in his 79th year, Ron Noll is the beloved husband of the late Winnifred  (nee Kwiecien) Noll (June 23, 2009).
Dear father of Richard and Jennifer Noll of Waterloo, Rhonda and Jim Bechard of Elmira and Randy “Kev” Noll of Elmira.
Loving grandpa of Lacy and Sarah Bechard, Joscelyn, Erin, Jared and Avery Noll.
Ronald was the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents, his sister Ruth Heubach and his brother Ross.
Mr. Noll was a long time resident of Elmira and was the former Director of Operations for Leigh Instruments, Waterloo for 36 years.  
At Ron’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service.
In Ron’s memory, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Harvey Lammert

Dec. 1, 1930 – Jan. 23, 2010

Passed away at Freeport Hospital on Saturday, January 23, 2010, in his 80th year.  Harvey Lammert of Waterloo is the beloved husband for 60 years of Selena “Sally” Lammert (nee Lichti).
Dear father of Barbara and her husband Harold Lane of Toronto.
 Loved grandfather of Melissa Davis (Mac) of Virginia, USA, and Phil Lane (Patricia) of Toronto.
Dear brother of Emma Lehmann of Kitchener and Marie Reist of Kitchener.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Lena Good and Lizzie Holtzhauer, and one brother, John Lammert.
Harvey retired from Electrohome Ltd. after 30 years of service.
The family will receive their friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Thursday, January 28, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place at St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, on Friday, January 29, at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
In memory of Harvey, donations may be made to St. James Lutheran Church Anniversary Project, Grand River Hospital Palliative Care at Freeport or the Canadian Cancer Society.
