Two late goals lifted the Elmira Sugar Kings to a 4-3 win over Stratford at Woolwich Memorial Centre, Sunday.
Trailing 3-2 with less than four minutes to play, goals by Brad Kraus (16:19) and Jarred Parent (18:51) gave the Kings a come-from-behind victory.
It’s the first time that Elmira has won back-to-back games this season.
Jon Jutzi, who continues to lead the team and scoring, and Spencer MacCormack also scored for the Sugar Kings. Shane Smith (2), Michael Therrien, Jeff Zippel, Lukas Baleshta, MacCormack, Kraus and Parent had assists.
Stratford goal scorers were James Graham, Steve McParland and Craig Dalrymple.
Elmira outshot Stratford 40-35, with Brandon Gorecki earning the win in goal for the Sugar Kings.
The loss was Stratford’s fourth consecutive one-goal defeat and club’s sixth straight loss.
Elmira played at Kitchener (Tuesday), and doesn’t play again until back-to-back games on home ice, Nov. 21-22.
